Review by hotel critic
The property was beautifully decorated and had a welcoming aura. Our hostess, Anita, made it a point to check on us daily, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The room was both functional and pretty, with a comfortable bed that promised restful nights. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh flowers, fruit, and a selection of drinks in the fridge – the kids particularly enjoyed the bottles of cold water. We loved how close we were to the Riviera Centre, which had swimming pools and tennis courts. It was a hit with my family. We even joined in on aqua aerobics one morning, which was a fun way for all of us to get active together. Location-wise, Abbeyfield is ideal for exploring Torquay and Torre Abbey, making it a great base for families looking for local attractions.
